About this deal

CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser is a cleansing oil for the face and body, which is primarily intended for dry or very dry skin. MVE Technology: This patented delivery system continually releases moisturizing ingredients for all day hydration A few months ago, when the American skincare brand CeraVe announced the launch of their Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser, I was super excited! I’m a huge fan of CeraVe cleansers, and I was thrilled that the brand finally released a product dedicated to makeup removal. Except… well, they didn’t! I’ll tell you the story about this misunderstanding, and give you my thoughts on this Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser 🙂 Without ceramides, the skin’s barrier is weakened, which can lead to dryness, itchiness, and even signs of aging. Topical application of ceramides can help to replenish ceramide levels, thus restoring the skin’s natural barrier. Enriched with Triglyceride and Squalane to maintain skin barrier and moisturise without a greasy feel

They have a whole range of cleansers, suited to different skin types and needs. CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser is the latest one, but strangely enough, it hasn’t launched (yet?) in the United States (I don’t know why!). But it has been sold in Europe and Australia for several months already. Formulated with hyaluronic acid: Attracts hydration to the skin’s surface and helps the skin retain moisture

How Do I Choose the Best Cleanser for My Face?

Traditional oil cleansers, as the name suggests, are oil-based cleansing formulas. These products usually emulsify (lather) into a foaming texture when applied with water. They often feature plant-based oils in their formulas, such as squalane oil. CeraVe’s Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser combines oil-based ingredients and surfactants in an efficacious cleansing formula. Because nope, CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser is not a makeup remover, but rather a face and body wash! Its gel in oil texture, rather liquid, transforms on wet skin into a fine and delicate foam which leaves the skin clean and comfortable, without greasy residue.

Whilst naturally found in skin, the plant-derived qualities of squalene oil and triglyceride work to replenish the skin’s surface after cleansing to provide long-lasting hydration. This squalane cleanser provides a nourishing touch, leaving the skin balanced, soft and smooth, while removing any form of tightness. A nourishing face wash for allergy-prone skin, this oil-based cleanser is non-comedogenic and contains no parabens or dyes, making it suitable for those with eczema-prone skin. Yes, CeraVe Hydrating FoamingOil Cleanseris suitable for use as a face cleanser and body cleanser. You can use this product as the first step in your facial care or body care routine. After cleansing, continue with the rest of your routine, which should include a non-comedogenic moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen. Oil cleansers work on the scientific principle of “like dissolves like.” This principle explains that, essentially, water dissolves water and oil dissolves oil. CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser uses oil-based ingredients to break down oil-based impurities on your skin’s surface (like makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum) and surfactants to break down water-based ingredients. I know I wasn’t the only one engrossed in wishful thinking (yes, my desires are often related to skincare, what can I say, you’re passionate or you’re not 🤪). Most people who reviewed this product on social media were quite confused about the concept! In addition to surfactants and ceramides, the only other key ingredient in the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is an excellent ingredient to use for increasing skin hydration because it is able to absorb and hold more water than any other natural substance—up to 1,000 times its weight in water! What is CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser? To help support the delicate skin on your face, it’s especially important to look for gentle, non-comedogenic cleansers that won’t clog your pores, as well as fragrance-free products with beneficial ingredients. For example, whereas foaming cleansers are generally recommended for oily skin types, a cream-based formula can be a great option for dry skin. Or, if you have rough and bumpy skin, you may benefit from choosing a facial cleanser with salicylic acid to help gently cleanse and exfoliate your skin.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is claimed to do all of the things a normal cleanser would do — remove dirt, makeup, and other debris — but without disrupting the skin’s natural protective barrier or stripping the skin of its natural moisture. It is a non-comedogenic face wash that works well on all skin types, even those with acne-prone or sensitive skin. Alleviate rough and bumpy skin texture with this fast-absorbing, non-greasy, hydrating smoothing cream. It also features moisturising MultiVesicular Technology [MVE] to maintain hydration levels in the skin for 24 hours.Like most cleansers, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser includes surfactants as the key ingredients. For example, this cleanser includes PEG-40 stearate and sodium lauroyl lactylate.
